Quick questions

Why does French phonics matter for GCSE?

Knowing how letters and sounds match helps in every paper: you can read aloud confidently, spell words you hear in the dictation task, and recognise words in listening even when they sound different from how you expected.

Is French spelling regular?

French has more ways to spell the same sound than Spanish, and many silent letters, but the patterns are consistent. Learn them one at a time and practise with words you know.
